Legal Experience
Emery works with employers and executives to solve complex legal issues. A seasoned trial lawyer, Emery has secured wins in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, injunction proceedings and administrative proceedings. She has a proven track record in federal and state courts across Texas, as well as before federal and state governmental agencies. Some of her matters make the national news media, while many remain confidential.
After nearly a decade practicing in Am Law 100 firms, Emery is grateful to now practice at the boutique firm Cabello Hall Zinda alongside many of her former Big Law colleagues. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has extensive experience litigating compensation, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, restrictive covenant, trade secret and other commercial claims. Emery's advice is informed by that experience when advising on employment-related agreements and policies, workforce management concerns, investigations, compliance and employment transitions.
Emery counsels clients with candor about risk, practical judgment and empathy for the nuanced human dynamics that often underlie employment disputes. Clients value her analytical approach, responsiveness and clear communication, as well as her commitment to standing alongside them through difficult and consequential matters.
