Legal Experience
Sarah has devoted most her practice to the “Soft IP” areas of trademark and copyright law. She has over ten years of experience in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, trademark prosecution, copyright registration, and counseling clients on trademark and copyright issues. She works closely with clients through their initial trademark selection, trademark clearance, and the registration process. She has experience managing and maintaining trademark portfolios. Sarah is also adept at handling cyber-squatting and domain disputes, take-downs, and reporting of trademark infringement and other violations through various platforms, including Amazon and social media platforms. She also assists clients with drafting terms of use and privacy policies for their websites.

Outside Activities
Sarah enjoys serving her Houston community, through volunteer and pro bono efforts. Through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, she has helped parents obtain guardianship over their adult children with disabilities. Since 2012, she has been actively involved in the Houston Bar Association and its many charitable efforts, including by serving as a co-chair of the Houston Alumni & Youth Center (“HAY Center”) Committee and the Lawyers for Literacy Committee. She has previously served on the Foundation Board for the HAY Center, whose mission is to empower and assist Houston-area young adults aging out of the foster care system. She also enjoys volunteering for The Landing in Southwest Houston, and assisting with their efforts to provide support services to victims of human trafficking.
